Professor of Tohoku University and vice president designate of IEEE
Kazuhiro Kosuge is Distinguished Professor, Department of Robotics, Graduate School of Engineering, Tohoku University, Japan, where he has been serving as a Professor since 1995. For more than 35 years, he has been doing research on robotics. He served as IEEE Robotics and Automation Society President for 2010-2011, IEEE Division X Director for 2015-2016. He is 2019 IEEE Vice President-elect for Technical Activities (2020 IEEE Vice President for Technical Activities). He is IEEE Fellow, JSME Fellow, SICE Fellow, RSJ Fellow and JSAE Fellow. He received Medal of Honor, Medal with Purple Ribbon, from the Government of Japan. He is a member of Engineering Academy of Japan.
